Nonylphenol Ethoxylate 12 (NP12) is a nonionic surfactant that appears as a light yellow liquid or paste. It is prepared by the addition reaction of nonylphenol and 12 moles of ethylene oxide. It has a unique molecular structure, featuring both oleophilic and hydrophilic groups, which play an excellent role at the interface between water and oil.
NP12 carries great surface activity, able to raise entry, emulsification, spreading and solubilization strength of cleansers. It keeps steady performance over a wide pH range. Other surfactants and additives can match it well. It can join hands with other parts to further boost the wash effect.
